Tsitsipas is the moreexperienced at this level, having reached his 5th Grand Slam quarterfinal – and he has won all 4 of his previous quarterfinal matches at the Grand Slams. Sinner has equalled his best Grand Slam result by reaching the last 8 here, having also reached the quarterfinals at 2020 Roland Garros, and he will be determined to go one better here and join compatriot Matteo Berrettini in the semifinals. Should he win today, Sinner will also become the youngest man to reach the semifinals at the Australian Open since Andy Roddick in 2003. He is one day younger than Tsitsipas was when he reached his first Grand Slam semifinal here in 2019. • Following Tsitsipas and Sinner will be world No. 2 Daniil Medvedev against world No. 9 Felix AugerAliassime. Like Tsitsipas, Medvedev is bidding to reach his 5th Grand Slam semifinal – and, also like Tsitsipas, he is aiming to record his 5th Grand Slam victory against a Top 10 player today. AugerAliassime is looking to become the 3rd Canadian player, man or woman, to reach multiple Grand Slam semifinals, after Eugenie Bouchard and Milos Raonic – but if he is to reach the last 4 here, he must record his first win over Medvedev on his 4th attempt. The Canadian won the first set the pair contested but Medvedev has won the subsequent 7 sets that they have played, including his win in straight sets over Auger-Aliassime in the semifinals at the US Open last year
