Draws announced for 2023 Davis Cup by Rakuten World Group I and World Group II Play-offs


The International Tennis Federation (ITF) has announced the draws for the 2023 Davis Cup by Rakuten World Group I and World Group II Play-offs.


The draws, which took place at the ITF offices this afternoon, will see 48 nations competing in 24 ties, to be played in cities around the world on either 3-4 or 4-5 February 2023. The choice of dates are determined by the host nation.


Winning nations from the World Group I Play-offs will compete in World Group I ties in September 2023, alongside the 12 losing nations from the 2023 Qualifiers – which will also take place in February. The draw for the Qualifiers will be made at the Davis Cup Final 8 knockout stage in Malaga in November.


Losing nations from the World Group I Play-offs and winning nations from the World Group II Play-offs will compete in World Group II ties in September 2023. Losing nations from World Group II Play-offs will compete in Regional Group III events later in 2023.
