Introducing 2 New IPBES Biodiversity Assessment Reports
Two new IPBES assessment reports will debut in July during IPBES 9 -- the 9th Plenary Session of Parties to the Intergovernmental Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services, being held in Bonn, Germany.
The first, scheduled for launch on Friday, 8 July, assesses the sustainability of diverse uses of wild algae, animal, fungi and plant species on land, in freshwater and in the oceans: The Sustainable Use of Wild Species Assessment Report.
The second, for launch Monday, 11 July, assesses wide-ranging values and valuations of nature’s benefits and its relationship to decision-making: Assessment Report on the Diverse Conceptualization of the Multiple Values of Nature and its Benefits
