Junior Davis Cup and Junior Billie Jean King Cup by BNP Paribas Finals confirmed for Antalya, Turkey
The International Tennis Federation (ITF) has today confirmed the 2022 Junior Davis Cup and Junior Billie Jean King Cup by BNP Paribas Finals will take place from 1-6 November in Antalya, Turkey. The Finals will return to the Club Mega Saray Tennis Academy for the second consecutive year with 16 national teams in both the boys’ and girls’ competitions competing to be crowned junior world champions.
The Junior Finals will precede the Billie Jean King Cup Finals and the Davis Cup Finals, all taking place in November, for a season ending finale of international team competition.
The Junior Davis Cup and Billie Jean King Cup provides the stage for some of the world’s best 16-and-under players to experience playing as part of a team and representing their nation. Denis Shapovalov and Felix Auger-Aliassime (Canada 2015), Iga Swiatek (Poland 2016), Carlos Alcaraz (Spain 2018) and Coco Gauff (USA 2018) are just some of the current stars to have won titles in recent years.
ITF President, David Haggerty said, “The Turkish Tennis Federation were brilliant hosts of our top junior national teams for the Finals in 2021 and we are delighted that they will be hosting again in 2022. This is a special event for some of the brightest junior talent to experience representing their nation and playing as part of a team.”
President of the Turkish Tennis Federation, Cengiz Durmuş: “We have hosted the 2021 Junior Davis Cup and Junior Billie Jean King Cup Finals in a great atmosphere. It is very valuable to us that we are once more hosting this event, as it is of utmost importance to us with regards to creating a strong tennis culture and ecosystem in Turkey. We are very happy to be a partner of the ITF in improving tennis globally and to host future tennis champions once more in Turkey. We will use all of our resources in order to host this important event in the best way possible.”
