Laver Cup (Boston, U.S.A.) - Team Europe Triumphs In Boston


Team Europe claimed its fourth Laver Cup title on Sunday in Boston after defeating Team World 14-1. In the clinching match, Andrey Rublev and Alexander Zverev beat Reilly Opelka and Denis Shapovalov 6-2, 6-7(4), 10-3.


Six of the event's nine matches went to a Match Tie-break, with Team Europe claiming five of those matches. That proved the difference at TD Garden.


"I'm a proud captain. I'm proud of my team, what you guys did. To spend a week with you together, it's amazing," Team Europe Captain Bjorn Borg said during the trophy ceremony. "It's an honour and it's a great feeling."
