Tennis: Monte Carlo
Two-time champion Novak Djokovic leads the way at the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters, the season's first clay-court ATP Masters 1000 event. The Serbian will have to navigate a tough field if he is to lift a record-extending 38th Masters 1000 trophy.
Looming in the quarter-finals could be red-hot Spanish teen Carlos Alcaraz, who just captured the biggest crown of his career in Miami. The top half of the draw is loaded with dangerous opponents, including Miami finalist and fourth seed Casper Ruud, Indian Wells champion Taylor Fritz and seventh seed Cameron Norrie.
The bottom half of the draw is headlined by defending champion Stefanos Tsitsipas and second seed Alexander Zverev. One year ago, Tsitsipas claimed his maiden Masters 1000 title at this event.
