THE WIMBLEDON DRAW

The first Head2Head clash between Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz lived up to its billing earlier this year. Could we see Part Two at Wimbledon? Top seed Djokovic and the #NextGenATP Spaniard have been drawn in the same quarter at the season's third major, where they will both be making their first tour-level appearances since the Roland Garros quarter-finals. Djokovic is unbeaten in 21 straight matches at SW19 and will open his title defence Monday on Centre Court against Soonwoo Kwon. Also in the top half are Roland Garros finalist Casper Ruud, who will be looking for his first main draw win at Wimbledon, and recent Halle champion Hubert Hurkacz, a semi-finalist here in 2021. Rafael Nadal anchors the bottom half as the second seed and is projected to meet Felix Auger-Aliassime in the quarter-finals. Should they both advance that far, it would be a rematch from Roland Garros, where Nadal prevailed in a five-set battle en route to a record-extending 22nd Grand Slam title. Matteo Berrettini and Stefanos Tsitsipas could clash in the other quarter-final in the bottom half. Last year's finalist Berrettini has continued to impress on grass this season, with titles in Stuttgart and The Queen's Club this month.
