Tobias Wendl & Tobias Arlt win doubles gold!

Tobias Wendl & Tobias Arlt (GER) have won a third consecutive Olympic gold medal in the doubles!

The German powerhouses - who also have three doubles world titles, and have competed together since they were 13 - built on their strong first run to slide home in a winning time of 1:56.554.

It's the latest chapter in an incredible legacy for the luge legends; this is their fifth Olympic gold medal (after also triumphing in the team relay event in Sochi and PyeongChang), and they could win a sixth in the team relay on Thursday.

It's a German one-two at the top of the podium; as Toni Eggert and Sascha Benecken win silver. Thomas Steu and Lorenz Koller of Austria take the bronze.
