Vinzenz Geiger (GER) wins gold in normal hill/10km event
Wow, what a finish we've just had here at the Zhangjiakou National Cross-Country Skiing Centre!
Johannes Rydzek (GER), who won gold in the large hill and team events in 2018, was leading with about 200 meters to go, but simply didn't have the strength left in his legs in the final hill as Geiger came storming through to jump out in front.
Geiger was chased by Joergen Graabak (NOR), but the 2018 team gold medallist had the momentum to hold on to his lead and claim the win in a time of 25:07.7. Lukas Greiderer (AUT) earns the bronze, while Rydzek, after leading for so long, finishes in fifth. Reigning world champion in the large hill Johannes Lamparter (AUT) was fourth.
🥇Vinzenz Geiger (GER): 25:07.7
🥈 Joergen Graabak (NOR): 25:08.5
🥉Lukas Greiderer (AUT): 25:14.3
