Week 8 Preview: Acapulco, Dubai, Santiago

There will be three ATP Tour events this week on three different continents, with the Abierto Mexicano Telcel presentado por HSBC in Acapulco, the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships and the Chile Dove Men+Care Open in Santiago.

The battle for No. 1 in the ATP Rankings is heating up, with World No. 1 Novak Djokovic and World No. 2 Daniil Medvedev in action in Dubai and Acapulco, respectively. If Medvedev wins the Acapulco title, he will climb to No. 1 on 28 February (read all the scenarios here). Djokovic will chase his sixth trophy in Dubai.

Cristian Garin will try to thrill his home fans in Santiago, where he is the top seed. The 25-year-old will attempt to successfully defend his title at the clay-court ATP 250.
